What was your career path that led you to your current position?
UD equipped me to learn how to learn, so, even though I had no Technical Writing or Computer training, I excelled in those fields in the Corporate environment with a Financial Services company. Later, at age 29, I became the Mayor of Krum, TX. Then, I pursued a degree in ministry and became an ordained Minister. I've taught in the University, College, High-School, Corporate, Ministerial, Political, and Test-Prep arenas. Amassing these years of experience enabled me to start my own business.
What kind of credentials, education, training, prior experience are needed?
A Liberal Arts education that teaches independent thinking, initiative, and a willingness to pursue education all the way to a Masters Degree.
How was your major and/or your degree from UD related to your current work?
UD's Core made my English BA more than just a survey of English writers and poets. I learned how to think independently and engage virtually any discipline. Reading the great texts taught me how to read life and the blessings I encountered in the form of people from all backgrounds, vocations, and ways of life. UD's steeping in the Catholic tradition empowered me to embrace the great YES of Christ in all people, cultures, and ideologies.
