CARE Learning Community– HUSC alum talk

This semester our Community Assistance Research Network (CARE) will be hosting 3 “learning community” gatherings to learn, discuss, and grow in our awareness of activities going on in the DFW area that aide in promoting the dignity of members of our community.
Our first meeting will be this Tuesday, February 11, 3:30-4:30pm in CFH 204.
Kathryn Shahan (UD, HUSC ’19) will present her work on the SNAP Appointment Coordination Project.  Since July, Kathryn has been managing this project aimed at leveraging behavioral economic concepts to improve how hunger relief is provided to low-income families.
Kathryn will share an overview of her work, and together we will discuss the implications of the work and possibly help Kathryn brainstorm ideas, next steps or future extensions.
