5 UDallas Students Invited to Speak at Business Conferences

As our Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) students wrap up their first year of the three-year program, we’re looking back at their accomplishments so far.
Students of the program, the first AACSB-accredited DBA in Texas, are each accomplished business professionals and are now taking on the academic world, sharing their knowledge and expertise through academic papers and research.

Below, we’ve listed students whose academic papers have been accepted to conferences:

  • Enoch Asare and co-author Sri Beldona’s paper, “The Moderating Effects of Culture on SME Access to Financing” was accepted for presentation at the Midwest Academy of Management Conference in October.

The following papers have been accepted at the Fifth Annual Engaged Management Scholarship Conference organized by the Executive Doctorate in Business Administration Council (EDBAC) in September:

  • Mark Brightenburg for “Looking for an Antecedent to Ethical Leadership Derailment”
  • Rebecca Bogie for “Communication and Organizational Risk Oversight: An Integrated Framework”
  • Odette Christie for “Personality and Expatriate Job Performance: The Mediating Role of Expatriate Cross-Cultural Adjustment” (Click here to read about Christie’s first paper acceptance at a leading business conference)
  • Donna Morrow for “Don’t Worry Be Happy: Employees’ Propensity to Find Meaningfulness in Work”
